About the position

The Senior IP Application Engineer at Alphawave Semi is responsible for driving ASIC IP solutions for current and prospective customers. This role involves collaborating with pre-sales teams, IP vendors, and engineering teams to provide technical support and guidance on IP integration. The position is crucial for ensuring the successful implementation of ASIC IP solutions in various data-demanding industries, contributing to the advancement of digital technology.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with pre-sales teams to provide ASIC IP solutions to the customer.
• Collaborating with IP vendors and customers to define, qualify, and procure new custom and existing digital blocks.
• Working on qualification and integration of various types of standard cells, memories, I/O's, and digital cores in SoCs.
• Providing product and technical support to other engineering teams.
• Guiding implementation teams on IP integration.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in IP/Library Design/Support (standard cells, memories, I/O's, Analog Blocks, etc.)/Application Engineering.
• Experience with Front-end or Back-end (Including HSPICE) tools from Cadence, Synopsys, and Mentor.
• Experience in analog/mixed signal designs and/or DDRX PHYs/SerDes.
• Good understanding of IP design, ASIC Design Flow, and integration related issues.
• Proficient in writing scripts for automation.
• Prior experience in customer facing roles.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related field. MSEE is preferred.
