About the position

The Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) is responsible for ensuring the secure integration and operation of systems within the organization. This role involves collaborating with multiple stakeholders to address cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities, providing specialized advice, and participating in consulting projects that align with the strategic goals of the client. The ISSO will leverage extensive experience in cybersecurity to monitor, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, while also guiding the implementation of security strategies and compliance with relevant standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to arrive at the best solution.
• Independently solve problems quickly and completely using extensive experience and judgment.
• Support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software IA problems.
• Provide objective advice and specialized skills to create value and improve performance against cybersecurity threats.
• Participate in consulting projects that deliver customer-focused results aligned with strategic goals.
• Facilitate review and analysis of strategic issues and advise on strategy implementation.
• Assist in conducting education classes and provide guidance in resolving issues.

Requirements

• US Citizenship and ability to pass an extensive background check and obtain a Public Trust.
• No Degree: 12 years of general experience, with 10 years in Cybersecurity & FISMA experience.
• Bachelor's Degree: 8 years of Cybersecurity & FISMA experience.
• Master's Degree: 6 years of Cybersecurity & FISMA experience.
• Must possess one of the following certifications: CISSP, CASP, CISA, CISM, or GSLC.
