About the position

As an IT Security Analyst with FIS, you will be at the forefront of combating cyber-crime, playing a crucial role in safeguarding sensitive financial data for customers globally. Information security is a cornerstone of the fintech industry, and your expertise will be vital in protecting this data from various threats. You will be part of the FIS Cyber Threat Intel team, a group of dedicated professionals focused on identifying and mitigating the latest cyber threats through extensive research and collaboration with other organizations and vendors. This team is responsible for monitoring both insider and external threats, enabling various security groups within FIS to take proactive measures against potential attacks. Your role will involve managing intelligence sources, reviewing threat reports, and transforming threat information into actionable intelligence that can be utilized across the organization. In this position, you will manage internal and external sources of intelligence, review threat reports and feeds, and digest this information into actionable cyber threat intelligence reporting. You will also assist in managing the threat intelligence platform (TIP) and its integration with other cybersecurity tools. A significant part of your responsibilities will include maintaining and developing primary intelligence requirements (PIRs) in collaboration with strategic stakeholders, optimizing threat models, and mapping them to the MITRE ATT&CK framework to ensure that effective countermeasures are in place. Additionally, you will support the Cyber Threat Hunting team in identifying emerging threats on the network and assist with incident response investigations as needed. A key aspect of your role will be to guide and mentor junior CTI analysts in digesting and reporting cyber threat intelligence effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage internal and external sources of intelligence.
  • Review threat reports/feeds and digest threat information into actionable cyber threat intelligence reporting.
  • Help manage the threat intelligence platform (TIP) and its integration with other cybersecurity tools.
  • Maintain and develop primary intel requirements (PIRs) with strategic stakeholders.
  • Optimize threat models and MITRE ATT&CK mapping to ensure threat countermeasures are available.
  • Assist the Cyber Threat Hunting team in looking for emerging threats on the network.
  • Assist with Incident Response investigations as needed.
  • Guide and mentor junior CTI analysts in digesting and reporting cyber threat intel.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • 5+ years of cybersecurity experience.
  • 2+ years' experience working in Cyber Threat Intelligence, collecting intelligence requirements and applying intelligence cycle principles to cyber threat analysis.
  • Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • CISSP, SANS, GCIH, CRH, or CISM certifications.
  • Experience working in Financial Services.
