Tencent Overseas IT is on a mission to empower Tencent's rapid global growth through the development of future-ready, global IT platforms, applications, and services. We are tasked with leading the Overseas IT strategy, architecture, roadmap, and execution, with a focus on satisfying our internal and external customers. Our aspiration is to become a world-class global IT team. We are currently seeking a passionate Senior IT Analyst, primarily focused on Human Capital Management (HCM), procurement, and asset management. This position can be based in Palo Alto, CA, USA, Singapore, or Amsterdam, Netherlands, and will report to the IT Director of Enterprise Applications. In this role, you will work closely with our Overseas IT and China HQ HR business teams, playing a critical leadership role in designing, building, and operating a world-class HCM application that provides a simple, sleek, and cohesive digital employee experience. This is essential for enabling Tencent's rapid employee and business growth in overseas markets, including North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia (excluding Greater China). You will act as a domain expert in both HR SaaS (specifically Workday) and HR business processes. Your responsibilities will include gathering HR business requirements, analyzing them, and providing both conceptual and detailed designs to meet business needs. You will perform necessary HR SaaS configurations, write detailed specifications for development, test, and manage the rollout of the solution. Additionally, you will align business needs with standard SaaS capabilities, identify and address gaps through transformation or possible customization, and prepare detailed estimates and test plans based on functional requirements. Your role will also involve analyzing, designing, documenting, and testing software modifications to existing processes, configurations, reports, forms, extensions, and interfaces in the production environment. You will design new interfaces, reports, and enhancements as needed, and work closely with business partners to understand their processes, goals, and gaps. Facilitating review sessions with functional owners, subject matter experts, and end-user representatives will be part of your responsibilities, as will providing solution options for the business to consider, along with pros and cons for each option and recommendations. You will drive the design, configuration, and deployment of new projects and system enhancements, and participate in change management and go-live support processes.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Workday HCM development, configuration, implementation, and support experience.
  • Experience in at least 5 HCM modules such as Core, Absence management, Recruiting, Compensation, Talent management, Performance, Benefits, Analytics, Calculated fields, and integration such as Workday Studio.
  • Experience with the full lifecycle of both implementations and upgrades.
  • Experience in providing ongoing HCM SaaS support.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small, cross-functional team.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Motivated to continually learn while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
  • Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills required to interact with colleagues and internal customers.

  • Experience in integration with other systems (Payroll systems) or Workday Payroll experience.
  • Bilingual (English, Chinese) preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree; MS/MBA preferred.
