About the position

The Senior IT Architect, Security at Trustmark is responsible for providing security architecture and technical leadership across the enterprise. This role involves designing and developing strategic IT roadmaps, ensuring adherence to security architectural standards, and driving innovation in IT security practices. The architect will collaborate closely with IT leadership and business stakeholders to align security solutions with business outcomes, while also managing third-party vendor compliance with security standards.

Responsibilities

• Designs security solutions by applying enterprise standards, frameworks, and reference architectures.
• Evaluates and selects technology for addressing security technical needs.
• Communicates complex security topics to meet business stakeholders' project needs.
• Adheres to best practices, processes, and standards set by the Enterprise Architecture group.
• Collaborates with IT Architects, Solution Engineers, and Managed Service Provider teams to analyze and document non-functional requirements.
• Identifies system, infrastructure, and project interdependencies to ensure timely completion of security architecture deliverables.
• Ensures strategic alignment of IT security architecture with business outcomes.
• Advises on and validates security architecture deliverables for target audiences.
• Works with stakeholders to align and set a common security technical direction.
• Drives fit-for-purpose security solution architecture aligned with enterprise principles and policies.
• Prepares and presents project documentation for the architecture review board.
• Evaluates design approaches and implements improvements to testing strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Typically more than 10 - 12 years of related experience.
• Advanced degree in area of specialization is preferred.
