About the position

The Senior IT Architect at Trustmark is responsible for providing architecture and technical leadership across business units. This role involves collaborating with IT leadership and business stakeholders to design strategic IT roadmaps, ensuring adherence to architectural standards, and driving innovation through the evaluation and implementation of new technologies. The architect will also oversee third-party vendors and ensure that technology solutions align with business outcomes and enterprise architecture principles.

Responsibilities

• Designs solutions by applying enterprise standards, frameworks, and reference architectures.
• Evaluates and selects technology to address specific technical needs.
• Communicates complex topics regarding solutions to meet business stakeholders' project needs.
• Applies best practices, processes, and standards set by the Enterprise Architecture group.
• Works with Solution Engineers and Managed Service Provider teams to analyze and document non-functional requirements.
• Ensures technology solutions are implemented according to proposed architecture and timelines.
• Identifies system, infrastructure, and project interdependencies to balance competing demands.
• Ensures strategic alignment of IT architecture to meet business outcomes.
• Advises on and validates architecture deliverables for the target audience.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to align and set a common technical direction for business outcomes.
• Drives fit-for-purpose solution architecture aligned with enterprise architecture principles.
• Prepares and presents project documentation for the architecture review board.
• Evaluates design approaches and implements improvements to testing strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• More than 10-12 years of related experience in IT architecture.
• Typically holds an advanced degree in the area of specialization.
