About the position

The Senior IT Asset Manager is responsible for the administration, support, governance, and management of the IT Asset Management (ITAM) program. This role encompasses overseeing technology assets, risk mitigation, compliance, and lifecycle management. The position involves leading administrative duties of the ITAM system, developing policies, implementing best practices, analyzing compliance metrics, and applying advanced analytics to make informed decisions regarding technology assets. Strong skills in communication, negotiation, and continuous improvement are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Create the Governance and Compliancy Program to remediate risks associated with Technology Assets
  • Monitor deployed assets to ensure that only authorized assets are deployed
  • Ensure appropriate resources and processes are in place to gather and analyze data relating to technology asset life cycles
  • Provide strategic, multi-year roadmap planning and budget planning using industry best practices
  • Develop and report on remediation of digital technology asset-related risks and optimization activity
  • Ensure accurate, timely reporting from CMDB and address data completeness and quality issues
  • Provide data to support analysis of digital technology assets following Asset Life Cycle Management
  • Assign responsibilities for sub-disciplines such as software asset management, hardware asset management, and IT asset disposition
  • Evaluate the organization's response to software vendor license compliance audits
  • Provide access to technology asset data to support essential organizational activities

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in a Technical Multi-discipline Management
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related equivalent IT field
  • A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
