About the position

The Senior IT Business Analyst position is a critical role within our organization, focusing on the design and implementation of both short and long-term strategic projects that support XTO's field data capture and production data flow processes. This position can be performed onsite, in a hybrid model, or fully remote, providing flexibility to the right candidate. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in oil and gas production operations, which is essential for understanding the complexities of the industry and the specific needs of our projects. In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating with a diverse range of global users and vendors, requiring excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the organization. You will leverage your advanced knowledge of database query design, SSIS, and API integration to ensure seamless data flow between systems. Your ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a collaborative team environment will be vital to the success of the projects you undertake. As a Senior IT Business Analyst, you will also be expected to engage with multiple stakeholders, including business units, IT teams, and external vendors, to gather and understand requirements. This collaborative approach will help ensure that the solutions developed meet the needs of all parties involved. Your technical expertise, combined with your strong communication skills, will enable you to effectively support the integration of data from SCADA systems to production accounting systems, enhancing the overall efficiency of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and implementation of strategic projects for field data capture and production data flow processes.
• Collaborate with global users and vendors to gather and understand project requirements.
• Utilize advanced database query design and API integration to facilitate data flow between systems.
• Support data flow from SCADA systems to production accounting systems.
• Engage with multiple stakeholders, including business, IT, and vendors, to ensure project alignment and success.
• Demonstrate strong technical skills in SSIS, SSRS, SQL, C#, .NET, JSON, and Postman.

Requirements

• Experience working in the upstream oil and gas industry is required.
• Experience with P2's Merrick Suite of products (eVIN, Procount, and Carte) or Seven Lakes Joyn FDG is required.
• Strong technical skills in SSIS, SSRS, SQL, C#, .NET, JSON, and Postman are preferred.
• Experience using web APIs to integrate data between applications is preferred.
• Experience supporting data flow from SCADA systems to production accounting systems is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders (Business, IT, and vendor) to understand requirements.
• Self-starter with the ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment is critical.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) are essential.
