About the position

The Senior IT Business Systems Analyst plays a crucial role in enhancing the operational efficiency of the organization by collaborating with various stakeholders to define, build, test, and deploy product changes. This position requires a high level of expertise in systems analysis, with responsibilities that include organizing meetings, documenting business needs, and ensuring that product changes meet user requirements. The analyst serves as a subject matter expert and is expected to lead complex projects while mentoring junior analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Organizes and facilitates meetings with Product Owners, Business Analysts, business users, and IT staff to identify and document business needs and objectives.
  • Creates project documentation to describe system changes, including user stories, process maps, and business rules.
  • Performs system/functional testing and demos to ensure product changes meet acceptance criteria.
  • Manages a regular cadence for producing, reviewing, and obtaining approvals for project documentation.
  • Works with Quality Assurance in the coordination of acceptance testing for major enhancements or projects.
  • Conducts research and analysis to support business operations and presents findings to stakeholders.
  • Plans and designs technology business processes to improve and support business systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of demonstrated systems analysis experience, with at least one project as the systems analyst lead on a large project.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Proficiency in standard office software, such as MS Office, Visio, and MS Access.

Nice-to-haves

  • Preferred contact center and telecommunications background.
  • Knowledge of claims management industry.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard process methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, LEAN).
