About the position

The Senior IT Manager for Finance and Accounting Applications is responsible for overseeing the Financials and Accounting systems and services, utilizing both SaaS and on-premise applications. This role involves providing strategic leadership for digital transformation initiatives, particularly in the implementation of Fusion Financials, while collaborating with business leadership to ensure effective governance and compliance. The position also includes managing a team, ensuring appropriate staffing, performance management, and capacity planning, as well as leading cross-functional projects to enhance business processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the IT Finance and Accounting business applications team to provide strategy, implementation, maintenance, support, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage staffing, performance, and scheduling for a team of four people.
  • Own all system configurations, integrations, workflows, reporting, and analytics in the Finance and Accounting area.
  • Participate in cross-functional programs/projects, analyzing and documenting changes, and developing solutions that impact business processes.
  • Provide service level management including SLAs, incident and enhancement ticket management, and delivery of smaller projects.
  • Partner with development, integration, and testing teams to ensure quality solutions and timely results.
  • Conduct quarterly patch evaluations, analyze new functionalities, and coordinate testing activities with business users.
  • Participate in M&A activities and lead the integration plan with cross-functional business groups.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in a people leadership/management role in IT Finance and Accounting applications.
  • Expertise in the implementation and support of ERP applications, especially Oracle EBS, and leading digital transformation to Cloud (Fusion Financials).
  • Experience in managing SaaS applications in the Finance area.
  • Proven ability to serve as an advisor to the business and challenge requests effectively.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, or Information Technology from an accredited university.

  • Prior consulting experience is a plus.
