About the position

The Senior IT Financial Analyst at Stride, Inc. is responsible for overseeing financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities within the organization. This role involves managing financial resources, ensuring compliance with regulations and accounting standards, and providing insights through financial analysis and reporting. The analyst will prepare budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans, while also partnering with various business units to drive financial performance and support decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares annual budget, monthly forecast, and long-range plan.
  • Owns financial models, building them from scratch and improving existing models.
  • Partners with the accounting team to ensure the integrity of financial results and submits accruals when needed.
  • Reviews variances against forecast, budget, and prior year, providing insights into business performance.
  • Prepares value-added financial analyses and drives outcomes in business areas.
  • Acts as a trusted financial partner to multiple business partners.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of proper business practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance, math, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in financial analysis or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in finance, particularly in budgeting, performance reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Understanding of accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Experience working within the IT realm and capital expenditures.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience with accounting and finance tools, preferably Net Suite and Hyperion PBCS.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to clear required background check.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience as a financial analyst within an IT organization.
  • Knowledge of OpEx and CapEx reporting.
