The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) role focuses on managing the financial activities of the organization. This includes controlling financial resources and ensuring compliance with regulations, accounting principles, and standards. The position involves financial analysis and reporting, taxation, insurance, credit control, accounts payable and receivable, inventory and cost control, as well as budgeting and forecasting. The FP&A professional will analyze the organization's revenues, liabilities, credit conditions, and other financial indicators to forecast its short, medium, and long-term cash flow position. Additionally, the role requires evaluating and recommending investments and other financial instruments to meet cash flow needs, presenting findings and recommendations to top executives, and preparing financial reports. It is crucial to ensure that all tax returns, declarations, and other required reports are submitted accurately and in a timely manner. The essential functions of this position include preparing the annual budget, monthly forecasts, and periodically a long-range plan. The FP&A professional will own financial models, building them from scratch and improving existing models. Collaboration with the accounting team is necessary to ensure the integrity of financial results and to submit accruals when needed. The role also involves reviewing variances against forecasts, budgets, and prior years, and effectively communicating the financial story of the business area. The FP&A professional will prepare value-added financial analyses and drive outcomes in various business areas, acting as a trusted financial partner to multiple stakeholders.
