About the position

The IT Sr. Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the Acadia IT department by providing high-quality financial analysis, reporting, and operational support. This position focuses on modeling and analyzing financial data to assist in achieving departmental and company objectives, particularly in relation to IT-related costs.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing current and past financial and operational data and performance
  • Preparing reports and projections based on this analysis
  • Assisting in the review of the budgeting process and preparation of materials for executive and board review
  • Assisting in the evaluation of current and future capital expenditures
  • Assisting department head in reviewing investment opportunities through the creation of Cost/Benefit Analyses (CBAs)
  • Identifying trends in financial performance and providing recommendations for improvement
  • Coordinating with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts
  • Assisting department head in maintaining financial models and forecasting
  • Handling other ad-hoc projects as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; Master's preferred
  • 5+ years of experience supporting an IT organization, preferably in a multi-location healthcare setting
  • Ability to work professionally with sensitive, proprietary data & information while maintaining confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels
  • Exercises sound judgment in responding to inquiries and knows when to escalate issues
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within inflexible time frames
  • Ability to adapt to frequent priority changes
  • Capable of working within established policies, procedures, and practices prescribed by the organization
  • Proficient in English to provide and receive instructions/directions

Nice-to-haves
