About the position

The Senior IT Internal Auditor at Pattern Energy will lead audit projects aimed at enhancing operations and compliance within the organization. This role involves conducting audits of IT infrastructure, operations, and cybersecurity, as well as assessing compliance with relevant policies and regulations. The auditor will work cross-functionally to evaluate the effectiveness of operations and provide actionable recommendations to management.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits of Information Technology infrastructure and operations.
  • Perform pre and post-implementation audits of enterprise systems and applications.
  • Assess compliance with policies, standards, procedures, laws, and regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments to determine audit scope.
  • Prepare audit workpapers and validate testing results.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop practical recommendations.
  • Document remediation of audit issues and improvement opportunities.
  • Review audit work papers and communicate results to management.
  • Plan and perform walkthroughs over technology and business processes.
  • Demonstrate strong project management skills to manage multiple projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
  • 3-4 years of experience in internal/external audit or consulting, preferably with a Big 4 audit firm.
  • Professional license (CISA) required; other certifications (CISM, CISSP, CIA) preferred.
  • Experience in risk-based Cybersecurity assessments and IT operational audits.
  • Understanding of internal controls concepts and auditing standards.
  • Experience documenting workpapers and writing reports.
  • Experience auditing an international company preferred.
  • Familiarity with Operational Technology, Industrial Control Systems (ICS), SCADA, DCS preferred.
  • Experience in the renewable energy industry preferred.
