In the VUMC IT Audit & Infrastructure department, this position will be responsible for overseeing and managing the planning, execution, and delivery of cloud infrastructure and networking projects. The role involves direct responsibility for new cloud infrastructure deployment projects and initiatives that migrate local data center operations to cloud operations. Additionally, the position will manage data center projects and other network initiatives, requiring effective management of project managers who work on cloud infrastructure and networking projects. The successful candidate will interface with all levels of the organization regarding these projects and must possess excellent communication and presentation skills. The responsibilities of this role include aligning project objectives with business change objectives, participating in project planning and scheduling, managing risks, monitoring program processes, and ensuring effective governance arrangements. The position also requires planning, directing, and coordinating activities to manage and implement interrelated projects. Responsibilities

  • Aligns the objectives for activities with business change objectives and selects and plans related projects and activities.
  • Participates in project planning, scheduling, controlling and reporting activities for strategic, high impact projects.
  • Manages risk and checks that solutions to problems are implemented in line with change control processes.
  • Monitors and reviews the economics of program processes and ensures that there are effective governance arrangements.
  • Plans, directs and coordinates activities to manage and implements interrelated projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience in IT project management, particularly in cloud infrastructure and networking projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to forecast complex resource needs and manage project planning and execution effectively.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to interface with all levels of the organization.

  • Experience with IT Portfolio Management and Project Quality Assurance.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.
