About the position

The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for designing, planning, and coordinating IT work teams while adhering to standard project management practices, particularly the PMI framework. This role involves managing technical, software, and data-centric IT projects, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate IT work teams according to project management standards.
• Create project kickoff, progress, and close-out reports.
• Track budget and schedule progress using appropriate metrics.
• Establish project organization and methodologies, defining roles and responsibilities.
• Document risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Manage project scope and implement communication plans as necessary.
• Build effective teams with the right technical and business-facing experts.
• Assign tasks to team members and evaluate outcomes.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders and sponsors.
• Identify, track, and resolve issues, removing barriers to project success.
• Provide technical support to project team members.
• Handle complex application features and technical designs.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of project management experience.
• Experience managing technical, software, and data-centric IT projects.
• Ability to manage projects with 10 or more staff and/or multiple subprojects.
• Strong understanding of business and technical project objectives.
• Professional certification in project management is highly desirable.
