About the position

AECOM is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead enterprise-wide technology projects within the Corporate IT/Applications team. This role involves planning, executing, and delivering projects while ensuring alignment with business processes and successful transitions. The Senior IT Project Manager will also support the development of the Applications ERP roadmap and manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing project management and business analysis tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Identify innovative solutions to optimize business processes and enhance customer experience.
  • Gather and document requirements for technology initiatives.
  • Prepare detailed project plans and schedules to meet delivery goals.
  • Maintain the project budget and manage project teams to ensure deliverables are on schedule, within scope, and budget.
  • Manage vendors supporting or executing the project.
  • Collaborate with technical management and IT resources on project planning and implementation.
  • Prepare and maintain all project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Enforce change control procedures to manage project scope.
  • Manage project issues and risks with necessary mitigation plans.
  • Prepare project status reports and executive presentations.
  • Define and present business cases for proposed projects.
  • Follow industry-standard SDLC processes, including Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Assess the impact of projects on business processes and facilitate smooth transitions.
  • Ensure compliance with company controls, such as Sarbanes Oxley.
  • Define the support model for new systems and facilitate transitions from project to support resources.
  • Perform business analysis tasks including process mapping and user training as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • At least 10 years of hands-on IT project management experience, including 2 years of leadership experience.
  • Experience with implementing Oracle ERP solutions, preferably Oracle Cloud technologies.
  • Well-rounded technical experience with a solid understanding of common technologies and solutions.
  • Significant experience in all aspects of IT project management from hardware infrastructure to application deployment.
  • Experience with IT procurement and vendor relationship management.
  • Knowledge of PMI's Project Management methodology and best practices.
  • Experience managing projects using Agile/Scrum and waterfall methodologies.
  • Business analysis experience including process mapping and user testing coordination.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Project, Visio, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Master's Degree or equivalent experience.
