About the position

The Senior IT Project Manager will support the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) by leading and managing IT projects to ensure innovation and growth. This role involves developing work plans, managing resources, and maintaining client relationships, while regularly updating management on project progress and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation.
  • Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.
  • Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables.
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan.
  • Manage project teams for optimal return on investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives.
  • Identify key requirements for cross-functional teams and external service providers.
  • Analyze evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for managers and key stakeholders.
  • Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives.
  • Develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement.
  • Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance.
  • Oversee multiple projects and teams ensuring program goals are reached.

Requirements

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Management Information Systems or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of related job experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.

  • Professional certification such as PMP.
  • Working knowledge of agile software development lifecycle.
  • Exceptional skills in leadership, communication, time management, facilitation, and organization.
  • Experience in managing stakeholders.
  • Outstanding knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes.
