Senior IT Project Manager - Payment Systems

About the position

The Senior Project Manager is an experienced project professional responsible for leading a combination of planning and execution of activities related to delivery of projects and/or financial/budgeting activity for their teams. Senior Project Manager will take a people leadership role alongside being experienced at successful project delivery. When leading project delivery, Senior Project Manager will have key responsibilities within the Continuous Improvement Cycle: Define, Discover, Design, Develop, Deliver across multiple areas. They are responsible for the success of one or more projects within a given timeline and budget, creation and maintenance of status reports, proactively managing issues and risks, and can work with 3rd party partners. When performing financial/budgeting activities they will monitor and adjust to given budgets, track labor, capital spend, and support variance root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Understand organizational/initiative goals and success criteria to apply to project work.
• Proactively identify barriers to successful outcomes and partner with leadership teams to overcome them.
• Bring problem solving and critical thinking skills; Deep experience in Agile, Waterfall, and other delivery methodologies.
• Support and execute against quarterly planning and prioritization.
• Apply lessons learned to inform future initiatives.
• Partner with stakeholders to lead the project planning effort, including scoping, definition of project deliverables, and creation of a logical work breakdown structure.
• Communicate at various levels of the organization to a wide variety of audiences, both business and technical.
• Create, monitor, track, and adjust project plans based on critical milestones for several projects.
• Work with stakeholders to determine and align dependencies, identify and track compliance requirements, and proactively manage risk and issues.
• Develop and execute an effective plan for change management and communicating project information to the Technology project team and stakeholders.
• Execute across portfolios or cross-functional initiatives within the Technology organization.
• Execute and lead fiscal management and reporting for operational, product/business, technology, and vendor stakeholders.
• Participate in vendor selection and onboarding processes in accordance with Home Depot policy.
• Be involved with the purchase order and invoicing process for 3rd party vendors.

Requirements

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Understanding of POS systems, software development, and IT Infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint).
• Working knowledge of Product/Project Tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Jira Align, Smartsheet).
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Benefits

• Pay range for this position is between $70,000 - $190,000.
