About the position

The IT Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of complex IT projects within a technical environment. Responsibilities

• Plans and manages a portfolio of IT programs comprised of high-profile projects with significant enterprise impact.
• Develops overall program strategy to ensure proper sequencing and integration of large/complex projects.
• Mitigates risks by maintaining a project plan and adjusting scope, timing, and budgets as necessary.
• Communicates with IT leadership and senior business leadership regarding program strategy and changes.
• Quantifies impacts of risks and issues to scope, schedule, and budget, prioritizing and driving resolution.
• Evaluates and maintains efficiency in managing the portfolio of programs through planning, scheduling, and budget assessment.
• Leads and supports the vision and strategy for the assigned program area, including project investments and functional requirements.
• Develops deep knowledge of assigned program technology and builds positive relationships across the organization.
• Coordinates delivery and execution of all projects within the program area and prepares the team for execution.
• Supports the development of new programs to achieve strategic organizational goals.
• Helps vet and triage new project ideas for proper intake.
• Coordinates cross-project dependencies within a program.
• Fosters compliance around project status reports and ensures portfolio dashboards are current and accurate.
• Performs project QA to ensure required features and functions are optimized.
• Gathers project requirements from stakeholders and organizes programs to provide strategic guidance.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and recommend operational changes.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing complex IT projects with senior executive visibility.
• Strong organizational change management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with IT and senior business leadership.
• Experience in risk management and quantifying impacts to project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and budget assessment for IT programs.
