About the position

The Senior IT Project Manager at Manhattan Associates is responsible for planning and executing IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. This role involves defining project objectives, managing quality control throughout the project lifecycle, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders, including C-level leadership. The position requires a strong understanding of both technical and business aspects of projects, as well as the ability to manage risks, changes, and project schedules effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate projects by understanding business problems and defining project objectives with stakeholders.
  • Create a comprehensive project charter and work breakdown structure.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Plan and organize testing activities, including defect management and test case creation.
  • Identify and manage program risks and issues, applying appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Lead the change control process and manage the Change Control Board (CCB).
  • Plan and manage user go-live implementation, including training and communication.
  • Regularly distribute project status updates to stakeholders, including C-level leadership.
  • Set clear expectations with stakeholders and manage them throughout the project.
  • Build and grow business relationships vital to project success.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct work experience in IT project management, including project planning and execution.
  • Experience managing projects with business applications such as Office 360, Salesforce, Workday, and ERP/HCM applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with IT Project Management software (e.g., JIRA, MS Project).
  • Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.

  • Skill in collaborating with business to develop and articulate business cases.
