About the position

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced project manager to lead a factory startup project in Hugoton, Kansas. This role involves overseeing the setup of a factory and a distribution center, with a focus on SAP S/4HANA implementations and infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will have extensive project management experience, particularly in manufacturing and supply chain environments, and will be responsible for ensuring project alignment with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project management efforts for the factory startup and distribution center setup, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Oversee the three-phase factory startup project, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals.
• Coordinate with teams in India and manage project timelines to accommodate flexible working hours.
• Lead the infrastructure setup for the factory, ensuring alignment with application requirements, particularly in SAP S/4HANA.
• Develop and implement cutover planning strategies for SAP S/4HANA, coordinating activities across different pillars.
• Understand and communicate the finance implications associated with project activities and SAP implementations.
• Facilitate collaboration between infrastructure and application teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Provide regular project status updates and reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• 10+ years of project management experience with a focus on factory startups and SAP implementations.
• Proficient in SAP S/4HANA.
• Proven experience in sales distribution, supply chain management, or project management.
• Demonstrated experience in handling cutover planning processes within complex projects, including system migrations, go-lives, or major transitions.
• Experience in managing infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record in leading large-scale, multi-geography IT projects, preferably in manufacturing or supply chain.
• Strong experience managing vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring third-party service providers meet project goals and deadlines.

• Ability to effectively manage relationships with both technical and commercial stakeholders across various regions and cultures.
• Ability to lead diverse, cross-functional teams and collaborate with various SMEs and leadership teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to senior stakeholders.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
