About the position

The Senior Information Technology Project Manager will lead the Project Management workstream on Workday implementation projects, ensuring successful delivery through collaboration with clients. This role involves managing project timelines, budgets, and resources while providing expert guidance on industry best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or support the Project Management workstream on Workday implementation projects.
  • Support the creation of workplans for large, complex global engagements, managing risks, budgets, resources, and client relationships.
  • Research and resolve day-to-day Workday Project Management issues.
  • Work with clients to support new requirements for Project Management within Workday.
  • Create and update Workday configurations based on requirement changes.
  • Provide support for regular and special Project Management processes in Workday.
  • Assist in Project Management activities such as posting, bank transfers, and paychecks in Workday.
  • Support legal and regulatory reporting requirements within Workday.
  • Assist with year-end reporting and other related activities in Workday.
  • Identify strategies, risks, and options, and recommend approaches and mitigations to meet client and functional requirements.
  • Architect Workday HCM solutions ensuring cohesive work streams and mitigating cross-functional impacts.
  • Advise clients on industry standards and leading practices.
  • Demonstrate design options using prototyping.
  • Provide regular status updates to the product owner and sponsors, keeping them informed of overall project status.
  • Employ strong stakeholder management skills to achieve project objectives.
  • Support innovation through the development of new industry-leading methods and assets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5 to 7 years of IT experience, with a demonstrated commitment to solving business problems through technology solutions.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business unit-facing roles, including evaluating risks and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while delivering results that meet deadlines, milestones, and quality standards within budget.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous Workday or Banner Project Management Implementation experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (i.e., MS Project, Jira, and Trello) is a plus.
  • Advanced Workday certifications are a plus.
