Our client is currently seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead and manage a large IT Access and Identity Management System (AIMS) project in support of the business-driven, customer service-oriented approach to providing IT services across the Secretariat. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled team and contribute to critical and highly visible projects. The Senior IT Project Manager will be responsible for working closely with IT and business stakeholders to develop effective plans that include tasks, detailed milestones, and activities. Weekly status and risk reports will be communicated to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires collaboration with agency business leaders to develop and maintain ongoing release schedules, defining project objectives, and strategizing with key business stakeholders. The Senior IT Project Manager will coordinate and orchestrate multiple project activities to ensure adherence to the project plan and goals, delivering results against established timelines, deliverables, tasks, dependencies, and associated technical specifications. This position also involves collaborating with other Project Managers to develop detailed plans, work breakdown structures, project checklists, and budgets to meet established time frames, funding, and staffing availability. In addition, the Senior IT Project Manager will prepare and execute comprehensive supporting plans in areas such as quality control, risk management, change management, testing, and other associated project management areas. The overall process will be managed to include monitoring project scope and change control processes, performing work in accordance with industry-recognized standards, guidelines, and practices. The role also includes preparing remediation plans and communicating with external stakeholders and internal partners to resolve issues, as well as developing and maintaining detailed reports that effectively monitor the status of the project. Adherence to established Commonwealth policy and procedures for project management methodology, quality assurance, and other related standards is essential.
