About the position

The Senior IT Project Manager will support IT Project and Program Managers within the Business and Technology Services (BTS) Talent Development Office. This role focuses on enhancing project management skills, aligning with organizational standards, and ensuring effective use of tools and methodologies in a complex operational environment. The position involves training, process improvement, community engagement, coaching, and management reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide training to IT Project and Program Managers on standard tools and processes for managing IT projects effectively.
• Collaborate with the IT Project Management Office (PMO) and Talent Development Office to drive process improvements and skill-building for IT Project and Program Managers.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the IT Project Management community, supporting skill enhancement and professional growth across the IT organization.
• Offer coaching to IT project leads on best practices in project management, providing resources and support for successful project delivery.
• Deliver regular updates on project management capabilities, tracking performance metrics, and reporting on delivery outcomes against organizational objectives.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, Project Management, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
• At least 5+ years of experience leading IT projects, particularly in large, complex, and global technology implementations.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required; Agile certifications such as Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) are a plus.

• Prior experience with the organization's project management practices and methodologies is strongly desired.
