About the position

The IT Project Manager at Panasonic Automotive Company is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, delivery, and closure of small to medium IT projects. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the satisfaction of stakeholders. Additionally, the IT Project Manager will assist in managing larger, enterprise-wide IT projects, contributing to the overall success of the organization. In this position, the IT Project Manager will develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies, ensuring that all projects are executed according to established plans and aligned with change management principles and best practices. The role involves leading and managing cross-functional teams, setting clear goals, and ensuring that team members understand their roles and responsibilities. The IT Project Manager will identify, assess, and manage project risks, developing mitigation strategies to minimize their impact. They will also be responsible for ensuring that project deliverables meet the required quality standards, managing quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle. Continuous improvement efforts concerning project management processes, methodologies, tools, and technology will be actively pursued to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Regular meetings will be led by the IT Project Manager to track achievement plans, milestones, and implementation, while also addressing any corrective actions needed. The role requires tracking and monitoring all key program milestones, timing, and open issues, providing feedback and insights to management, stakeholders, and sponsors. The IT Project Manager will also review and recommend setups of processes and procedures aligned with project reporting requirements, and lead requirement sign-off meetings, ensuring all necessary parties are aware of project deadlines and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning, executing, delivering, and closing of IT projects.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams, setting goals and clarifying roles and responsibilities.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks, developing mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and manage quality control processes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts concerning project management processes and tools.
  • Lead meetings to track achievement plans, milestones, and corrective actions.
  • Track and monitor key program milestones, timing, and open issues, providing feedback to stakeholders.
  • Review and recommend processes aligned with project reporting requirements.
  • Lead requirement sign-off meetings and ensure all parties are aware of deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related technical field required.
  • Minimum five years of related experience required.
  • Knowledge of sales, logistics, manufacturing, IT, and quality processes.
  • Experience with formal project management processes, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Experience facilitating change.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and MS Project.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven experience in cybersecurity project management with a firm understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
  • Utilization of ServiceNow project management application.
