About the position

The Senior IT Project Manager will oversee large-scale, enterprise-wide initiatives in a 100% onsite role in downtown Cincinnati, OH. This position requires a blend of traditional IT project management skills along with knowledge of regulations and compliance related to product launches, particularly in the insurance or financial services sectors. The Project Manager will serve as the single point of contact for various projects, managing all aspects from planning to closure, ensuring that project results meet quality, reliability, schedule, and cost requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a variety of large-scale, enterprise-wide initiatives simultaneously.
  • Lead and coordinate all aspects of projects including planning, scope management, communication management, issue/risk management, resource management, procurement/vendor management, project integration, financial management, change management, and quality management.
  • Submit project change control requests when revisions to scope, schedule, and/or budget are required.
  • Prepare Project Status Reports and provide regular status updates to Program Managers, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Act as a liaison between the business customer and Project team(s) by building cooperative relationships.
  • Conduct project meetings; track and analyze projects.
  • Perform administrative duties including data gathering, metrics, and reports, and manage the supporting project budget.
  • Execute the successful delivery of assigned projects following established PMO and quality standards.
  • Review and ensure that all assigned projects are delivered within defined scope, quality, time, and cost requirements.
  • Develop, model, and coach/training/mentoring in Project Management Methodology.
  • Facilitate quality systems, continuous process improvement, and project-related change management.
  • Assist in the development of all Program/Project requirements for customers.
  • Coordinate resource feedback discussions and provide feedback to Program Leads and Program Managers.
  • Manage Project-level assumptions, risks, and issues to ensure clarity around challenges and action plans.
  • Manage the largest-sized/scoped projects from concept through closure, ensuring major project activities are planned and tracked.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior IT Project Manager with a strong understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated use of strong listening and communication techniques and presentation software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience conveying information clearly to internal and external customers.
  • Experience setting and achieving goals while managing multiple project assignments simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to influence and direct others to solve problems or increase efficiency.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management.
  • Experience maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in demanding situations.
  • Ability to identify problems, research, quantify, and implement creative solutions.
  • Experience working under limited supervision and going above and beyond to assist team members.
  • Experience creating a collaborative team culture committed to service excellence.
  • Demonstrated adaptability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, and rapid change.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is preferred but not required.
