About the position

The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple technology projects, ensuring their successful completion while managing high visibility and high expectations from stakeholders. This role requires exceptional project management skills, the ability to handle complex initiatives, and strong communication capabilities to engage with various levels of government and other stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple projects to successful conclusion.
• Develop, monitor, and maintain project plans.
• Establish and manage project budgets, understanding all financial implications.
• Coordinate and monitor activities of all stakeholders to ensure timelines and budgets are met.
• Communicate project status to management and project stakeholders.
• Delegate work, set clear direction, and manage workflow.
• Provide feedback, guidance, and coaching to develop employee skillsets.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment to achieve best results.
• Handle multiple high-visibility, high-priority initiatives effectively and independently.

Requirements

• 5 years of project management experience or an Associate's Degree with four years of project management experience.
• Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar professional designation preferred.
• Extensive experience overseeing multiple projects to successful conclusion.
• Experience with technology projects using various development methodologies, including agile and waterfall SDLCs.
• Ability to manage projects of relative high complexity and dollar value.
• Strong knowledge of exceptional delivery of products and services to a wide range of users, especially in government.
• Ability to maintain tact, diplomacy, and mindfulness in engagement with demanding stakeholders.
• Exceptional professional presence and strong public communication skills.
