About the position

The Senior IT Support Engineer serves as the last line of defense within the IT Support department, responsible for responding to escalated tickets and assisting IT Support Technicians. This role involves troubleshooting complex issues across various systems, conducting software deployments, and participating in an on-call rotation. A strong understanding of Information Security is essential, as the engineer will assist clients with audits and questionnaires.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to escalated tickets via phone or email.
  • Assist IT Support Technicians with their tickets.
  • Troubleshoot complex problems with servers, networks, and cloud solutions.
  • Conduct software deployments across multiple systems.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to serve as an escalation point during non-business hours.
  • Assist clients with Information Security audits and questionnaires.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a HelpDesk or equivalent role.
  • 1+ years of experience in a Systems or Network Administration role.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems.
  • Good understanding of cloud models and products (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS).
  • Experience with ticketing systems and remote monitoring and management tools.
  • Intermediate or better PowerShell scripting.
