About the position

The Senior IT Support Specialist plays a crucial role in the IT team at Ulteig, focusing on managing support escalation requests from the Help Desk. This position involves deploying, maintaining, and supporting end-user devices and systems, ensuring that IT infrastructure issues are resolved efficiently and effectively. The specialist will work collaboratively with team members to uphold the company's mission and values while providing excellent client service and ensuring compliance with information security policies.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and support end-user technology including computers, printers, phones, and software.
  • Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are being met.
  • Resolve problems related to IT infrastructure creatively and quickly.
  • Handle Help Desk escalations to provide problem analysis and resolution.
  • Ensure consistency in practices and service of end-user support.
  • Assist with company patch management, antivirus, and data loss prevention.
  • Administer and leverage PC imaging and application deployment systems.
  • Participate in hardware and software reviews to recommend purchases.
  • Identify potential system improvements for IT management consideration.
  • Recommend standards for end-user device hygiene and efficiency.
  • Identify user issue trends and escalate as needed.
  • Complete projects and tasks within scope guidelines.
  • Create technical documentation including procedures, standards, and manuals.
  • Provide local IT hands support to remote IT team members.
  • Comply with all company and client safety standards.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in IT required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in Help Desk or IT support-related field.
  • Extensive experience with PC hardware, software applications, operating systems, and network connectivity.
  • Experience related to client/server security.
  • Experience with imaging software is a plus.
  • Previous experience in an engineering environment is a plus.
  • Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.
  • Knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft Windows Server, Windows 10, Office365, and computer hardware.
  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot using logical analysis and problem-solving techniques.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, time management, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
