About the position

The Senior IT Systems Analyst Specialist position is a critical role within our organization, primarily focused on leading business analysis efforts for large-scale implementations and multi-line projects. This position is fully remote and is structured as a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity, offering a pay rate between $40 and $50 per hour. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science, and have at least six years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A strong background in multi-line claims management or case management processes is highly preferred, along with a solid understanding of third-party administration and claims management technology. In this role, the Senior IT Systems Analyst Specialist will be responsible for managing requirements for large projects, including new client implementations. The candidate will devise and execute a comprehensive requirements management plan, ensuring that all stakeholder needs are understood and documented. This includes facilitating meetings with project managers, business representatives, IT representatives, and clients to gather and clarify software requirements. The successful candidate will produce detailed project requirements documentation, which may include written documents, process diagrams, report mock-ups, and wireframes, all while adhering to established templates and timelines. Mentorship of team members is also a key component of this role, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. The position requires strong analytical and interpretive skills, excellent organizational abilities, and outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills. The candidate must be self-motivated, able to work effectively in a team environment, and possess the initiative to drive projects forward. The role may also involve supporting the organization's quality programs and requires travel as necessary. Overall, this position is essential for ensuring the successful delivery of IT solutions that meet both internal and client needs, while also contributing to the professional development of the business analysis team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the requirements management efforts for large projects, including new client implementations and strategic projects.
  • Devise and execute a requirements management plan for assigned projects.
  • Take ownership of the business analysis role throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify and understand stakeholders; initiate and facilitate meetings and discussions with stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with project managers, business representatives, IT representatives, and clients to ensure a complete understanding of software requirements.
  • Produce project requirements documentation, including written documents, process diagrams, report mock-ups, and wireframes using standard templates.
  • Meet deadlines and manage work to timelines.
  • Mentor team members and support their professional development.
  • Support the organization's quality program(s).
  • Travel as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; major in computer science preferred.
  • Six (6) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Experience in multi-line claims management processes and system requirements strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of third-party administration/claims management business and technology.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Visio.
  • Strong analytical and interpretive skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability and willingness to take initiative and meet or exceed performance competencies.

Nice-to-haves

  • SQL knowledge is strongly preferred.
  • DevOps management experience is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of code is strongly preferred.
  • Basic understanding of Figma is preferred.
