About the position
The Senior Java/AWS Cloud Developer position is a hybrid role based in Merrimack, NH or Smithfield, RI, requiring extensive experience in Java and AWS technologies. The role focuses on developing serverless APIs and involves working with various AWS services, containerization tools, and CI/CD practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both backend development and cloud infrastructure, contributing to the design and implementation of scalable applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement REST and serverless APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Utilize AWS services such as Lambda, Gateway, and S3 for application development.
- Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Write business logic in Python as needed.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Terraform.
- Monitor application performance using tools like Splunk or Datadog.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with Java and Spring Boot for API development.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, Gateway, Route 53, SES, S3, IAM, Eventbridge, EKS, and SQS.
- Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes for container management.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Terraform.
- Ability to write Python code for business logic.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with Angular for frontend development.
- Experience with ELK Stack for logging and monitoring.
