As the volume of data from satellites increases, our ground stations must evolve and adapt to process this information effectively. In this role, you will join a dynamic team of software engineers and architects focused on developing and maintaining advanced ground station software. Your responsibilities will include the design, development, testing, delivery, and maintenance of Ground System Software. You will troubleshoot complex software problems and work collaboratively with your team to ensure the software meets the high standards required for our national defense missions. A key requirement for this position is the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued TS/SCI security clearance, which is essential for accessing sensitive information related to our projects.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain Ground System Software.
  • Troubleshoot complex software problems.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance software functionality and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols and maintain necessary security clearances.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years' relevant or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with C++ and Java software development.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with object-oriented analysis and design.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience working within LINUX/UNIX operating systems.
  • Experience with satellite ground system software areas such as mission management, planning and scheduling, command and telemetry, satellite operations, or flight dynamics models.
