About the position

The position involves designing, developing, testing, delivering, and maintaining advanced Ground System Software for satellite ground stations at Raytheon. The role requires troubleshooting complex software issues and necessitates obtaining and maintaining a U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance. The successful candidate will join a team focused on processing vast amounts of satellite data to provide actionable information to end users, contributing to national defense and security.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain Ground System Software.
• Troubleshoot complex software problems.
• Collaborate with software engineers and architects to enhance ground station capabilities.

Requirements

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years' relevant or equivalent experience.
• Experience with C++ and Java software development.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with object-oriented analysis and design.
• Experience with Agile development.
• Experience working within LINUX/UNIX operating systems.
• Experience with satellite ground system software areas such as mission management, planning and scheduling, command and telemetry, satellite operations, or flight dynamics models.
