About the position

As a Senior Java Cloud Developer in the Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence team, you will be responsible for building and operating a suite of massive scale, integrated cloud services in a multi-tenant cloud environment. This role focuses on developing solutions that are resilient, highly available, and scalable, while leveraging your expertise in distributed systems and big data technologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems.
• Provide technical leadership to other software developers.
• Specify, design, and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Requirements

• BS or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with 5 years of applied experience.
• Strong programming skills in Scala.
• Experience in Big-Data area, preferably Spark/Parquet.
• Good knowledge of Core Java.
• Ability to write SQL queries and experience working with databases through Java/Scala.
• Champion for CI/CD and development best practices, especially around automation and testing.
• Experience building high-performance, resilient, scalable, and well-engineered systems.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate engineering designs.
• Experience with agile software development.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud is a plus.
