About the position
The Senior Java Developer role is a contract position focused on backend development, primarily using Java and Spring Boot. The position requires extensive experience in Java development, particularly with Java 8 and above, and involves working with AWS services and Oracle RDS. The developer will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions, managing production issues, and handling upgrades and migrations. This role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days onsite in either Minneapolis or Atlanta.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement solutions independently
- Manage production issues and break fixes
- Handle upgrades, enhancements, and migrations
Requirements
- 7-10+ years of Java development experience
- Strong backend development using Spring Boot
- Proficiency with Java 8+ (currently using Java 11)
- Experience with Oracle RDS and stored procedures
- AWS expertise: Lambda, S3, EC2
- RESTful API development and SQL
- Familiarity with Angular 10+
Nice-to-haves
- AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect or Developer - Associate)
- Experience with Route 53, CodePipeline
