About the position

The Senior Java Developer position is a hybrid role based in Dallas, TX, requiring a minimum of 9 years of experience in Java development. The role focuses on backend development, utilizing technologies such as Kubernetes, Spring Boot, and Microservices. The position is contract-based for a duration of 6+ months with potential extensions, and it involves working onsite three days a week.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java and related technologies.
• Implement microservices architecture and manage deployments using Kubernetes.
• Utilize Spring Boot for building scalable applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best coding practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the development and production environments.
• Work with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB.

Requirements

• Minimum 9 years of experience in Java development.
• Proven experience as a backend developer.
• Expertise in Kubernetes, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, JavaEE, JSP/JSTL, and Spring Framework.
• Good understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with version control tools, particularly Git.
• Familiarity with development tools like Eclipse and Maven.
• Strong understanding of database concepts and experience with Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
