About the position

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Senior Java Full Stack Engineer to develop innovative, cloud-based software solutions for a diverse global clientele. The role emphasizes collaboration within a geographically distributed team, focusing on continuous improvement and challenging existing practices with creative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, program, test, implement, and deploy software applications following appropriate documentation and quality standards.
• Collaborate with clients, IT resources, vendors, and stakeholders to identify user requirements and recommend technical solutions.
• Perform formal code reviews to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Apply defined code management, build, and deployment standards and practices.
• Investigate and resolve complex system problems independently, establishing root causes and resolutions.
• Ensure coding accuracy, create technical documentation, and utilize software configuration and quality management processes.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, exercising independent judgment to achieve results.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of IT experience
• Experience in Java 11 or 17, Spring Boot 2 or 3
• Strong understanding and working experience of REST API and 12-factor microservice principles
• Hands-on experience in Angular 11+
• Exposure to CSS, HTML5, and JavaScript
• Good understanding of different types of testing and their importance
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes, including green/blue or canary deployment.
