Allied Consultants, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our technical services team in Austin, Texas. This position is crucial for the ongoing development and enhancement of our Grants Management initiative. The Senior Java Developer will be responsible for making significant updates to the Grants Management Java application, which includes modifying business logic, updating the user interface, and extending reporting capabilities as well as the system data model. The role requires a deep understanding of Java programming and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. In this position, the Senior Java Developer will support application enhancements and defect corrections while the system is in maintenance mode. This includes working across multiple environments, conducting coding tests, participating in peer reviews, and ensuring thorough documentation. The developer will also be involved in defect root cause analysis and troubleshooting as necessary. Maintaining code coverage and adhering to testing and security policies and procedures is a critical aspect of this role. Additionally, the developer must be available for on-call support as needed and will be expected to perform other duties as assigned by unit operations. Candidates selected for this role will undergo criminal background checks and may be required to complete a drug screen in accordance with Federal and State Law.
