Grow your career as a Senior Java Developer with an innovative global bank in Tampa, FL. This is a contract role with a strong possibility of extension, requiring a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days onsite per week. You will join one of the world's most renowned global banks, a trusted brand with over 200 years of continuously evolving financial services worldwide. In this role, you will be responsible for participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective will be to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. You will work alongside some of the smartest minds in the industry who are excited to share their knowledge and learn from you. The contract duration is expected to be 9+ months, during which you will conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas. You will monitor and control all phases of the development process, including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation, while providing user and operational support on applications to business users. Your in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development will be crucial in analyzing complex problems/issues, evaluating business processes, system processes, and industry standards, and making evaluative judgments. Additionally, you will recommend and develop security measures in post-implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality. Consulting with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, you will recommend advanced programming solutions and assist with customer exposure systems. You will also ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes, serving as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts. This position requires the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision, exercising independence of judgment and autonomy, and acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
