About the position

The Senior Java Developer will be responsible for building high-speed, data-centric solutions in a hybrid work environment. This role requires extensive experience in Java and distributed computing frameworks, as well as cloud technologies. The developer will work closely with business requirements to support application development and ensure software quality through thorough analysis, testing, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support the application development of big data applications for business requirements in an agreed architecture framework and Agile environment.
• Thoroughly analyze requirements, develop, test, and document software quality to ensure proper implementation.
• Follow agreed upon SDLC procedures to ensure that all information system products and services meet quality standards and functional requirements.
• Perform application and project risk analysis and recommend quality improvements.
• Assist Production Support by providing advice on system functionality and fixes as required.
• Communicate clearly and concisely about time delays or defects in the software to appropriate team members and management.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in building high-speed, data-centric solutions.
• 5+ years of experience in Java.
• Experience with high-speed distributed computing frameworks like FLINK, Apache Spark, Kafka Streams, etc.
• Experience with distributed message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Amazon Kinesis, etc.
• Experience with cloud technologies and migrations.
• Preferred experience with AWS foundational services like VPCs, Security groups, EC2, RDS, S3 ACLs, KMS, AWS CLI, and IAM.
• Experience developing and delivering technical solutions using public cloud service providers like Amazon and Google.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests with testing frameworks like Junit and Citrus.
• Experience working with various types of databases like Relational, NoSQL, Object-based, and Graph.
• Experience following Git workflows.
• Working knowledge of DevOps tools like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD pipeline.
• Familiarity with monitoring related tools and frameworks like Splunk, ElasticSearch, Prometheus, and AppDynamics.
