About the position

The Senior Java Full Stack Developer position is a 6-month contract role based in McLean, VA, with a hybrid work model requiring onsite presence on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. This role is critical for developing and maintaining robust applications using Java and Angular technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development with Java, particularly using Spring Boot, which is essential for this position. The role also requires proficiency in frontend development with Angular, specifically versions 8 and above, as the team is currently utilizing version 11. In addition to Java and Angular, candidates must possess experience with relational databases, with a preference for PostgreSQL. Familiarity with AWS services, especially Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), is highly desirable. The position may also involve testing responsibilities, and while experience with Cucumber is preferred, the team is open to training candidates who have experience with similar testing tools. The work schedule offers some flexibility, with the possibility of after-hours or weekend deployments. However, this will be balanced throughout the pay period and will not result in overtime. Responsibilities

Requirements
