About the position

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer / Scrum Master to join their team in Richardson, Texas. This role involves working with a distributed team to facilitate scrum events, remove obstacles, and apply software engineering principles to develop complex applications. The position requires a strong understanding of software development processes and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate scrum events including sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint review, and sprint retrospective.
• Work to remove obstacles that may impede the team's progress.
• Develop complex applications using Java and related technologies.
• Utilize software engineering principles, design patterns, and Object Oriented architecture.
• Support limited business travel for customer meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
• Experience developing complex applications using Java.
• Experience with container orchestration products such as Kubernetes or Apache OpenShift.
• Experience using Python.
• Familiarity with Agile or DevSecOps toolsets (e.g. Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, Jenkins, Cucumber).
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance.

• Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph.
• CSM certification.
• Experience with OpenShift and Helm.
