About the position

The Senior Java/Spring Boot Developer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-volume, low-latency Java-based applications. This role involves collaborating with product managers, designers, and clients to deliver valuable software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on writing high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code, and will actively participate in continuous improvement efforts within an agile team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Java-based applications that can be high-volume and low-latency.
• Analyze user requirements to define business objectives.
• Ensure application designs conform with business goals.
• Develop and test software.
• Identify and resolve any technical issues arising.
• Create detailed design documentation.
• Develop technical designs for application development.
• Write well designed, testable code.
• Support continuous improvement, investigating alternatives and technologies.

Requirements

• 8-12 years of experience working in a hands-on role and currently playing a senior developer role.
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot developing components and creating/consuming REST APIs.
• Preferred experience with cloud technologies, specifically AWS.
• Experience in web application development.
• Thorough knowledge of Unit testing using JUnit.
• Experience implementing Swagger UI in REST Services testing.
• Experience setting up pipelines in GitLab using tools like GIT, SONAR, and Black Duck is an added advantage.
• Strong technical leadership skills and experience working on Agile teams.
