About the position

The Senior Key Account Manager at adidas is responsible for driving profitable and sustainable market share growth within the Outdoor account. This role focuses on executing a go-to-market plan that aligns with the strategic framework set by Global and European teams, while acting as the key contact for the category. The position aims to enhance brand success through effective brand activations and service delivery, ultimately driving business growth for adidas Terrex and other categories.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the account end-to-end in a hybrid role.
  • Ensure best-in-class Omni-Channel delivery to consumers and stores by implementing best practices.
  • Drive the implementation of an effective demand management process based on operational performance and market needs.
  • Deliver training and related material to support efficient operations.
  • Analyze product, customer, and consumer needs to support execution of plans.
  • Maintain regular analytics on the sell-through performance of Terrex and Five Ten.
  • Build and execute brand activation plans incorporating product, retail, and brand activity.
  • Execute the seasonal account marketing calendar to ensure adidas wins at the point of purchase.
  • Deliver and adapt brand toolkits across all channels and create bespoke tools as needed.
  • Continuously seek new innovations to engage consumers and drive sell-through.
  • Measure the effectiveness of account activation plans and ensure visual execution and sell-out success.
  • Manage budgets and costs related to brand activations.
  • Represent the brand activation perspective internally and externally.
  • Deliver a complete GTM proposition/marketing plan that supports sell-in for the account.
  • Connect with sales teams, external agents, and category champions on range-specific topics.
  • Support Global and European BU with account-specific feedback and needs.
  • Collaborate with Director lead and global GTM team for account participation in meetings.
  • Contribute to the account SBP and IBP category process with Director lead and finance.
  • Support local allocation/MRA process aligned with marketplace needs.
  • Lead and execute cluster-specific MOPS requests.
  • Analyze future season category build by franchise and identify trends and opportunities.

Requirements

  • Manager level with advanced cross-functional marketing knowledge and market experience in sport and/or outdoor.
  • Consumer-focused with deep product and range understanding.
  • Excellent understanding of balancing brand and commercial aspects for GTM solutions.
  • Business and commercial mindset with strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Flexibility to travel domestically or internationally as required.
  • Strong engaging and impactful presentation style.
  • Experience in negotiation and good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Passionate about sports and the outdoors with knowledge of the Outdoor specialist marketplace.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in English.

Nice-to-haves

  • University degree and/or commercial training in Marketing or Sales preferred.
  • Brand, Retail, or Sales Marketing experience.
  • Experience in a retail environment preferred.
