About the position

The Senior Key Accounts Manager at Murata Electronics is responsible for maximizing market share and sales opportunities by promoting product growth and managing key accounts. This role involves developing strategic business initiatives, building relationships with key decision-makers, and ensuring effective implementation of customer contracts. The position requires frequent customer interaction and collaboration with cross-functional teams to align company strategies with customer objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Contact and visit customers to identify strategic direction and opportunities for product growth.
  • Align local Murata strategy with customers' objectives and goals.
  • Develop Account Business Plans for assigned accounts.
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers affecting product design and procurement.
  • Initiate and coordinate Early Sales Involvement (ESI) projects.
  • Negotiate price contracts between customers and Product Divisions.
  • Review and maintain effective implementation of customer contracts.
  • Serve as the key contact for customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Coordinate special sales projects and promotions.
  • Participate in customer meetings and conference calls, publishing minutes and driving action item closure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Five+ years of experience in sales or marketing in an electronic-related or technical industry.
  • Experience interfacing with OEMs and/or Tier-One customers/suppliers.
  • Experience working for a culturally diverse global company.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, locally and globally.
  • Advanced negotiation skills and experience with sales analytics.
  • Proven success in managing product promotions.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and develop mutually beneficial solutions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent.
  • Experience with automotive electronics.
  • Previous manufacturing sales experience with sales data collection.
  • Market planning knowledge within target-market industries.
  • Previous Marketing knowledge and previous budgetary responsibilities.
