About the position

FHI 360 is seeking an advanced Knowledge Management (KM) expert to oversee the KM aspects of a large, global project. The KM Advisor will manage the technical and operational elements of the KM portfolio, ensuring project activities align with work plans and technical expertise informs implementation. This role involves leading the development of KM activities for various initiatives, preparing reports, drafting publications, and coordinating with diverse organizations, including government and international partners.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day technical and operational aspects of the KM portfolio.
  • Supervise technical staff members to ensure project activities are on track.
  • Lead the development and execution of communications and dissemination strategies for project knowledge projects.
  • Work closely with senior project management to determine KM priorities and provide technical support.
  • Design and coordinate virtual and in-person learning exchange activities.
  • Produce high-quality print and digital knowledge products, including publications and training materials.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients, funders, and partners to grow the business.
  • Contribute to the preparation of annual work plans and progress reports for submission to USAID.
  • Ensure knowledge management activities meet established standards and contractual obligations.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree or its International Equivalent in Knowledge/Information Services, Communications, Education, Environment, Health, Behavioral, Life/Social Sciences, International Development, Human Development or Related Field.
  • Typically requires 12+ years of relevant experience in designing and evaluating applicable programs/services.
  • Project Management (PM) Certification preferred.
  • Documented participation on normative bodies or committees relevant to the technical area.
  • Experience leading business development efforts in the technical area.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficient experience in current program developments in division/unit/technical area.
  • Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO), government agency, or private organization.
