About the position

The Senior Knowledge Manager at Leidos will play a pivotal role in supporting a U.S. federal government intelligence agency by aligning processes and technology to facilitate effective information sharing. This position is crucial for producing high-quality finished intelligence that meets the demands of national security. The ideal candidate will possess a keen attention to detail, professionalism, and a strong motivation to support the warfighter. The role involves employing centralized and peripheral databases, content management, and records management systems to shape government workflows and processes. Additionally, the Senior Knowledge Manager will track performance metrics and future requirements for existing capabilities, ensuring that data search, discovery, storage, and retrieval are optimized. In this role, you will enable information sharing among analysts and organizations by analyzing and shaping workflows and processes. You will also be responsible for ensuring that proper security protocols are adhered to in order to protect classified, proprietary, and personally identifiable information. The position requires providing analytics, dashboarding, and reporting on performance and usage metrics, as well as mentoring and guiding junior team members by providing technical expertise and leadership. This position is contingent upon contract award, and the successful candidate will be expected to work on-site in Reston, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Employ centralized and peripheral databases, content management, and records management systems to shape government workflows and processes.
  • Track performance, usage metrics, and future requirements for existing capabilities, including the search, discovery, storage, and retrieval of data.
  • Enable information sharing among analysts and organizations by analyzing and shaping workflows and processes.
  • Ensure proper security protocols are used to protect classified, proprietary, and personally identifiable information.
  • Provide analytics, dashboarding, and reporting on performance and usage metrics.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical expertise and leadership.

Requirements

  • Must have an active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience relevant to database management, with at least a portion of the experience within the last two years.
  • Experience using database backup, restoration, creation, and cloning best practices.
  • Experience in upgrading and performing maintenance on databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor database efficiency and enforce approved controls/standards.
  • Experience preparing reports for management.
  • Experience manipulating data to organize data sets into retrievable categories.
  • Experience in database design, application, and disaster recovery.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop emergency data access plans and test them to ensure they are reliable and efficient.
  • Experience with different database languages, data manipulation, data control, data definition, and transaction control languages.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, without oversight and direction.
  • Knowledgeable of and demonstrated ability to apply IC and DoD classification guidelines and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex issues clearly in a concise and organized manner both verbally and non-verbally; with strong grammar skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize nuances and resolve contradictions and inconsistencies in information.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical expertise and leadership.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft 365.

Nice-to-haves

  • Fluency in different database languages, data manipulation, data control, data definition, and transaction control languages.
  • Experience in all-source intelligence analysis, collection management, or intelligence operations.
  • In-depth knowledge and demonstrable experience with the intelligence production cycle, executive intelligence production, and data science and related technologies.
  • Master's degree in an area related to database management from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education; or have Bachelor's degree related to database management from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional five years of related senior experience, for a total of 17 years, as a substitute to the Master's degree.
