About the position

As a Senior Knowledge Manager at ManTech, you will play a crucial role in managing Knowledge Management (KM) processes that are integral to our operations. This position involves monitoring and measuring the application of KM through metrics that are aligned with project goals and objectives. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that project teams are accountable for their deliverables and are effectively utilizing the DEE (Data, Evidence, and Experience) and knowledge bases as per established guidelines. You will also identify areas for improvement within the DEE or knowledge bases, ensuring a continual improvement process that enhances strategic knowledge management across the organization. In this role, you will advise KM teams on various projects, particularly regarding waivers or exceptions to KM plans, and will be responsible for resolving conflicts that may arise between KM reference materials and new requirements for KM training. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with various departments to develop and enhance KM processes, ensuring that best practices are followed and that the organization remains at the forefront of industry trends in Knowledge Management. Your strong communication and leadership skills will be essential as you navigate the complexities of KM within a diverse team environment. Staying updated with industry trends and best practices will be a continuous part of your role, allowing you to bring innovative ideas and solutions to the table.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Knowledge Management processes, including monitoring and measuring KM application using project-linked metrics.
  • Ensure project teams deliver on their accountabilities and apply DEE and knowledge bases according to instructions.
  • Identify needs for improvements to the DEE or knowledge bases and ensure continual improvement in strategic knowledge management.
  • Advise KM teams on waivers or exceptions to KM plans and resolve conflicts between KM reference materials and new requirements for KM training.
  • Collaborate with various departments to develop and enhance Knowledge Management processes.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in Knowledge Management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of nine (9) years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Knowledge Management, Management Information Systems (IS), Library and Information Science, or related fields.
  • Four (4) years of additional experience required with a High School diploma; two (2) years of additional experience required with an Associate's degree.
  • A Master's degree may be considered in lieu of two (2) years of experience; a Ph.D. can be considered in lieu of four (4) years of experience.
  • Five (5) years of experience in developing policies, procedures, and governance for Document Management Control, Records Management, Knowledge Management, or related experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree or higher in Knowledge Management, Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Administration or related fields.
  • Relevant industry standard certifications such as KM Institute, Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM); Institute of Certified Records Managers (ICRM), Certified Records Manager.
