About the position

Langan is seeking a Senior Landscape Architect to join its collaborative team in Miami, FL. This role involves providing integrated design services for public and private sector clients, focusing on a diverse portfolio that includes waterfront design, urban revitalization, and green infrastructure projects. Responsibilities

  • Prepare the planning, design, and permitting of landscape architecture, civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects using design, engineering, and graphic software.
  • Perform zoning, ordinance, and permit assessments, and assist with determining the feasibility of projects based on the analysis of collected data.
  • Assist with the preparation, review, and modification of various design and landscape architecture related documents including conceptual and technical design plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical and geologic data and their impact on project planning and design.
  • Provide field observation and construction administration services, including reviewing contractor requests and preparing punch list reports.
  • Familiarity with current local, state, and federal land use permitting processes.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture.
  • 3+ years of experience in landscape architecture.
  • In process of securing or currently maintain professional licensure.
  • High level of creativity and exceptional computer skills in Lumion, Sketchup, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
  • Self-starter with problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Willingness to work in the field as necessary.
  • Ability to occasionally travel to and work in other office locations.
  • Possess reliable transportation for job site visits and a valid driver's license in good standing.
